247 has Jenkins rated the number 9 DT in the country and number 3 prospect in the state of LA...I will take that

 

Pruitt also went in home with Morven Joseph tonight.

 

And we've subsequently gotten CBs from the FSU and UF insiders.

Sounds like he's on board.

 

I have zero doubt we will have a nasty ass defense by and large from the near future on out with Pruitt at the helm.

 

Are these folk opening up their search because Pruitt has told them to look elsewhere?

I think they wanted him to commit immediately and he said no. LSU has 2 highly rated DTs and one other that's in the top 300 overall

Well you gotta assume you’re not going to land everybody. I also wonder if a lot of spots are gonna be first come, first serve. I think we’re targeting 3 LBs and only one will get a spot IMO.

well, technically they are short by 22... but I know what you mean.

But this doesn't look frantic or haphazard. this is part of some kind of strategy. Not sure of what it is.

 

It looks like they're taking the best 25, which is always the goal but they're not sitting still, they're going after it.

 

Just saw where Whitehaven (the 3 LBs) gave up only 65 points this year in 12 games. 27 were in the last game of the season, a loss to Houston High School (ranked 3) in the playoffs. They were averaging 3ppg prior to that.

 

Yeah, I think they prefer Tisdol but are fine with Kaho. I think they wrapped Morven Joseph up on the in home visit.

They're trying to get Tate Ratledge to sign in February, if he holds off they'll save him a spot.
