There's talk that Ratledge and Hardy are putting off signing until February. That gives Tennessee more time

 

So, this Coleman kid is a rather pedestrian 3 star, but had 27 sacks this season and it seems as if our coaches love him.

 

He was or is committed to Les Miles at Kansas. I'm assuming Les got tipped off to him early due to his Louisiana connections.

 

Yeah, I can't see either signing with us if they sign next week. Time not on our side if that's the case but if they wait, we've got a shot.

 

I don't think this early signing period has been helping us. These recruits need time to forget how mediocre we are while they are viewing our awesome facilities. Completely unfair.

Here’s an idea for parity in college football:

Play the first round of the playoffs BEFORE the early signing day.

That way, while the four best teams are getting ready to play, they can’t also be as active on the recruiting trail. And those who aren’t in the playoffs can go recruit unfettered of those four...or try to sway some of their recruits away.

Essentially it would make the number of coaches who can go on the road to recruit matter - be out getting new players, or focus on your upcoming game. Better, do both in the same week before Round 1 and early signing day. Bye-bye sleep.

Besides, you don’t need three damned weeks to get ready to play a game.

This is a great idea.

In your scenario, what keeps those teams from just giving their best position coach/recruiters the week off to do nothing but recruit ?

 

We can cross that JUCO RB Zaquandre White off the list. He isn't visiting anymore.

 

We can’t recruit a running back to save our lives. Lucky Gray fell in our laps.

 

Kiffin trying to steal Keyshawn Lawrence from us and Chris Morris from TAMU.

Keyshawn is meeting with him despite saying earlier his recruitment was shut down.
