#1 Defensive End in the country. I'll take it. The talent and depth issues are about 1 class from being completely solved.
The recruiting services are going to have a rough time ranking kids if they don't have camps and get paid
Hoping this guy is next. A&M seems to be the biggest competition at the moment but we are in the thick of it with this guy. https://247sports.com/Player/Terrence-Lewis-46058521/
Peer recruiting is really good right now fellas. Its been a long time since its been like this from current players. Culture change has happened, finally, after years of coaches destroying the culture.
I like casually following recruiting, but I don't think the way recruiting services approach things is in the best interests of the kids, schools, or fans. It creates a false sense of hierarchy by having 5 different levels and number ranks. And then basing it off of camps is clearly problematic. It would be interesting to see what it would look like to have a system based purely on offers and a few physical metrics. Wonder how that would look.
I agree Card. He is good, and taller than maybe all wmsn county dbs and lbs. Good genes, but he is thin. Not fast enough for wr, but not big enough to block at TE. Hes an athletic 6'6ish kid and smoothe but kindof a tweener imo.
From what I understand, I don't think it's a great year in-state for prospects, especially compared with last year. The Colson kid is supposed to be good and we'd certainly take a few others, but I'm not overly concerned about hitting up a bunch of Tennessee kids this year.
