As unfortunate as it is, I don’t see this changing until we win a few and change the entire mindset of the team. UF seems to have our number no matter how horrible they are in any given year.
If we get beat at home by uSC we should just shut it down. They just named a grad assistant as their starting QB.
They have a 5 star running back coming off an acl, he's a redshirt freshman. He'll have 100 carries through 3 games
As much as I hate to admit this, Georgia has a pretty stocked cupboard. They are gonna be tough. I do agree though, competent QB play and this team is a lot better than it appears. I saw somewhere the other day that according to recruiting rankings, even with all of the departures, we still rank 19th in original recruiting ratings.
hear me out: UGA's not prepared for adversity. the guys are expecting to be nouveau bama and rolling through other teams except for the big games. If they can't score enough to put teams away, and they get against the wall for playoff viability early, they could wilt. I am not saying we will beat them, but they seem ripe for underachievement if they don't start hot.
UGA has enough talent around that they're always loaded. That's never not been the case...at least as far back as my memory goes. I do agree though, based on how weak we've been and Florida being up and down they've been able to take advantage of the East. Once those seeds of doubt start to be planted though they can spread...a few breaks don't go their way and just like that they're back to being a typical UGA team that's full of talent and underachieving.
I'm listening to random versions of Rocky Top. I recommend the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Conway Twitty, and Charlie Daniels talking shit to other SEC schools fans at a concert in Iraq for the troops versions.
