In D1Baseball rankings, the SEC has 5 of the top 6, and 7 of the top 12 teams in the country. And people thought SEC football was tough.
The only difference may be that you play more games in baseball and get a better idea of the difference. If middle tier SEC teams got to play 1 or 2 teams in several other conferences, the house of cards that is the Big 10 would never get set up and it would become clear that the "challengers" in the ACC or Big 12 would be irrelevant in the SEC.
