I recently plugged up my 360 to play some ‘14. Luckily I decided to purchase it on the marketplace before they pulled it. My discs are long since gone and were scratched. But I usually play for a few hours and burn out.
In. randomly played a guy at work who bet me lunch and $20 he could beat me in NCAA 14. I won 63-8. Was fun. Still got it.
Still have the digital version of the game. honestly was a pretty great game. Pretty good balance, with offense being a little over powered but sort of fits the current state of college football Sort of thought the read option was over powered initially but that was figured out with adjustments. Just a good game.
I don’t like ‘14 mainly because the recruiting. But I also think I prefer some of the gameplay in 10/11/12. I vaguely remember not liking ‘13 that much. I just started a Notre Dame dynasty with some updated 2021 rosters.
When you used controller the DE defending it, it wouldn’t let you make the decision and locked you out for a couple seconds. Frustrating.
It functions like a low resolution model. In real life you only get one season per a year and so many games. In NCAA, millions and millions of games are played, with the trends from those games in terms of the dynamics perhaps actually accurately reflected reality. When cheesing actually works in the real world, the real world coaches all become cheesers. QB scrambles, hurry-up offenses all the time, throwing to the running back more than the WR's...
