I recently plugged up my 360 to play some ‘14. Luckily I decided to purchase it on the marketplace before they pulled it. My discs are long since gone and were scratched. But I usually play for a few hours and burn out.

All the recent coaching changes have set the game back by another year.

I hope not. Will really hold the game tech back if they do that.

First one on a console is traditionally trash. But they've had plenty of dev time, I guess.

I'll be playing the pc game version regardless of console Gen.

    In.

randomly played a guy at work who bet me lunch and $20 he could beat me in NCAA 14. I won 63-8. Was fun. Still got it.

Still have the digital version of the game.

honestly was a pretty great game. Pretty good balance, with offense being a little over powered but sort of fits the current state of college football

Sort of thought the read option was over powered initially but that was figured out with adjustments. Just a good game.

I agree, college football has come to resemble the EA games pretty closely.

I don’t like ‘14 mainly because the recruiting. But I also think I prefer some of the gameplay in 10/11/12. I vaguely remember not liking ‘13 that much.

I just started a Notre Dame dynasty with some updated 2021 rosters.

I think I’ll be lucky to land 10 commits. But the rosters are smaller.

Every time I get excited about this game I try and remind myself again who is making it.

Using the read option against the CPU almost feels like cheating .

When you used controller the DE defending it, it wouldn’t let you make the decision and locked you out for a couple seconds. Frustrating.

It functions like a low resolution model. In real life you only get one season per a year and so many games. In NCAA, millions and millions of games are played, with the trends from those games in terms of the dynamics perhaps actually accurately reflected reality. When cheesing actually works in the real world, the real world coaches all become cheesers. QB scrambles, hurry-up offenses all the time, throwing to the running back more than the WR's...

Looks like the same Madden engine is being used. Didn’t really expect different though.
