2022 Vols Baseball

we haven't been picking up the curve ball or hard slider, swinging at a lot of balls in the dirt. Also seeing a lot more of them. I want an aggressive swinging team and like first pitch swinging if you see what you expected, but we need some to just not swing at the offspeed stuff no matter where it is until 2 strikes. Pick up the spin or release and lay off.

 

I still think this team goes to Omaha. I still think they are capable of winning it. The bats are just cold right now. They played as bad as they have since early 2019 this weekend and still could have won 2 out of 3. Crap weather, atmosphere, all of it. We all knew this was going to happen eventually, and I'd much rather it happen now than a month from now.

 

Bases loaded infield pop ups with count 3-1 aren’t supposed to happen. Should’nt be fooled 3-1.

That was a nice, workman W last night. Couple of timely hits and overall very good pitching.

can you imagine facing that dude last year as maybe a 15 or 16 year old throwing about 78?

 

All I would think about is throwing it middle in because of being terrified of what would happen if I put one on the corner and he hit it back at me.

 

I'd be thinking about the next guy as I throw four pitches in the opposite batter's box.

 

If he hits a homer it’s not going to kill you

 

Probably missed a chance to end it in the 5th with the bases load and 1 out but still a decent lead bottom of 6th.
