Vitello also still finding out who are gamers and who are better in practice. It takes time. Plenty of athletes are good in practice.
Yeah. I'm not worried. It is baseball. I like our coaches. And I think the UTAD is not a dumbazz. Don't get me wrong, I hate losing. I believe our coaches and players hate losing. But last year's team was a slugging unicorn. I agree, it allowed us to be lax in some areas, primarily because it bailed us out of some stupid stuff. It was really, really fun to watch. I'm glad it got more people watching/supporting Vols baseball. The downside, it brought in a lot of the loud, delusional "followers".
Lol @ the idiots within the fanbase out there who are convinced Zane Denton sucks ass. All he does is play flawless defense (remember he’s a literal ex All-SEC defensive 3B of the year winner) who simply knows how to get on base via his productive and professional approaches at the plate. Almost like there’s more to being a 3B heart of the lineup bat than hitting a bunch of HRs. Although I have a feeling his power numbers will sort itself out too as the weather continues to warm into hitting weather. Have never understood to Zane Denton angst held by some. Maybe it’s just cause he was a Bammer originally
Some of the fans are baseball dumb. Especially those that jumped on recently and think it is all homeruns and strikeouts. Once a kid puts on the orange & white, he is a Vol, until he's not. Don't care where he came from. Denton is a good solid ballplayer. So was Hooker, Kamara, etc.
