I think the staff has done a fantastic job of ingratiating themselves to Tennessee high school coaches. They practically live at Lipscomb. I don’t believe we’ll lose as many in state battles as we have the past decade and, with the uptick in talent, getting 8-10 from Tennessee is a solid base for future classes.
They are going to be the IMG of Tennessee. Getting a pipeline established there is going to pay huge dividends.
it’s unreal. For many years, LA was a team of a bunch of smaller white kids mainly and ran a version of the old Trousdale County dominant veer or bone or whatever they ran. They were pretty tough to play for most opponents. And then it all happened because Dilfers daughter was going to play volleyball at Lipscomb U. LA then one of the first with an indoor practice area, which attracted Kittle and other nfl players in the offseason as Kittles dad was OL coach. And then college and HS recruits show up. Watching some of their drills after our 7 v 7 practice was eye opening for my son with the size and speed from a few feet away. Next thing, Dilfer is networking, recruiting all over the country, selling families on Tennessee and building a regional powerhouse. Now the best program in the state and one of the best in the country. Only thing that bothers me is he really has about 25 coaches on the sideline.
Yeah, Beasley and Spillman are top two instate for next year right now. Think they have an elite DL in ‘25 class already.
