Often, where expectations are at kick-off are very different than where they are at the end of the last season. This poll aims to serve as the benchmark for how much expectations increase from now until August. I have no agenda in doing this other than tracking exactly that.

We haven’t shown anything that makes me think we’ll win in Gainesville, Tuscaloosa, or anywhere against Georgia, though we’ve come far enough as a program that none of those games are no-hopers.

OTOH, we could lose to Syracuse or Oklahoma, but Atlanta will be a home game, and we’ve been great in Neyland, so those are probably wins.

9-3 is the expectation, but it’d be a bit disappointing to feel like we’re being passed by Napier a year after he was almost fired. 10-2 would be a successful season that gives this staff a brand new accomplishment. 8-4 or worse would dramatically increase pressure to make changes to the staff.

I think 10 wins is doable if changes are made. If not 8 is likely.

I think 8. We'll drop the usual trio of Georgia/Florida/Bama and then someone else will get us like Arkansas did this year.

I think 7 is more likely than 9.

I think this is reasonable, but it is precisely the kind of position that gets softened by the off-season

If we’re assuming status quo/ no staff shakeup, I’d bet 7 or 8 is most likely.

I really didn’t expect to be the optimistic one, but I think getting a win against Bama/Florida/Georgia is as likely as a loss against Oklahoma/Syracuse/Kentucky(?)

Honestly I still think they’ll be good enough to beat anyone other than Georgia if they play close to their best. I just don’t think they’ll be good enough to get through without 1 or more likely 2 losses outside of Bama/UF/UGA.

Can we extend the poll? I need to see how transfer portal shakes out.

Will drop the big 3 and OU/Arky at home at minimum as currently stands.

    I would really like a 7 or 8 option.

Syracuse - W but could be tricky. Lose and things get dark.

    ETSU - W

    UGA - L. Haven’t come close yet

    UAB - W

    Miss St - W

Arkansas - W. Pittman won’t finish the season

Alabama - L just because it’s on the road. I don’t think they’ll be much better than this year if at all.

UK - W. Last year of Stoops there.

    OU - W. I don’t think Venables survives 2025

    NM St - W

UF - L. In the Swamp. Duh. They’re going to get overhyped in the offseason, but Lagway is legit and Napier can coach QBs. Napier will screw up some games, but it obviously won’t be against us in the Swamp.

    Vandy - W

    9-3

10 wins. Two losses between UGA, UF, and bammer. We could train one of those for a win and gain a loss to someone we shouldn't. I'd put Oklahoma as the next most likely loss.

No, I am wanting to measure how this looks over time. So vote now with what you know now. We can do it again after the Spring game, and then again in August.

7 more likely than 9, but if I were putting money on it, 8. Unless Sampson comes back.
