There’s going to be so many lineups before league play starts that I wouldn’t put much stock in any of them until league play starts. We’re going to see a metric shitload of lineups. I’m excited to see the guys. IF the league started today, my guess is probably leaning to Bargo at 1B, Kilen at 2B, Dean at SS and Andrew Fischer at 3B. Chapman will play right, Ensley center and I’m not clear what’s going to happen to left. Peebles and Stone Lawless will be behind the plate, but Bargo can play there as well and Peebles is dealing with a minor arm thing right now. My gut tells me that Antigua and Jay Abernathy are going to play a big role this season too. That said, lots of guys will get a look at 1B. I’m keeping an eye on my guy Hunter High. He’s a uttility IF and he was blasting the cover off the ball during the fall. I think Liam Doyle will start Friday. Nate Snead will start Saturday and a lot guys in the mix for Sunday. Final rosters aren’t due until Friday afternoon, so we may know then.
Idk, but he's getting a lot of preseason hype. Baseball America has him as their first team All-American SS and ranked him as the 3rd best defensive infielder in the country.
I heard he’s throwing and he has had no setbacks so they are expecting him around league play, but I don’t think there’s a definitive date. We mighta discussed it somewhere previously (I’m not a surgeon nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) but he got like a half TJ surgery and not a full TJ surgery. That’s help accelerate his timeline. I doubt they will get him stretched out enough to start but that would be a massive boost to the pen. I think they’ll still be careful with him. Tony, Frank and Woody will never mortgage the future of any of their players for a short team gain.
I’m pretty sure AJ Russell was going to be a draft eligible sophomore and thus, had it gone right last year, he wouldn’t be here this year anyway. So anything he can provide is going to be a bonus. I could be wrong on that, especially without looking up his birthday or the date of the draft last year.
The mental part to let loose is harder than PT for injuries like that. You can’t compete until it’s out of your mind
This isn't a bad summary w/Q&A re: the Lindsay Nelson construction. https://www.rockytopinsider.com/202...r-lindsey-nelson-stadium-ahead-of-the-season/
People have been saying it and I thought it too, the first time I saw the new student section in right - the opposing RF is going to have a long weekend.
They need to work out some promotion where the students get a free beer every time the RF commits an error or something like that. Really give them incentive to make it hell on them.
