2026 Vols Baseball

I think he’s a pretty even tempered guy and was just taking responsibility. Starting out in week 1-2 in a new gig and saying “players gotta play better”, though true, isn’t something I want to hear tbh.

 

"Players gotta play better" is not the vibe I was going for. More like "Players will play better. We aren't worried."

 

The mistake he’s referring to is taking Blanco out after 4 and putting a freshman in to start the 5th.

 

Gotta pay for a month of FloSports just to watch the games this weekend. This shit gets old.

I hate baseball broadcasts that don’t show the pitch count.

 

It’s [uck fay]ing ridiculous but I’m a mark so I got it for these games.

 

Letting them do too much damage with two outs.

 

This team is already showing a lot of the same issues we saw throughout and toward the end of the season last year, especially.

 

There's no [uck fay]ing way I am paying for yet another service for sports.

 

Yeah not paying for that but doesn’t look good from an Indy perspective.

 

I’ll be interested to see how quickly baseball falls out of favor with all of our fans that didn’t realize Tennessee baseball existed before Vitello showed up and started winning a ton of games and talking shit to everyone.

I wouldn’t be surprised. Selfishly, I’d be okay with being able to go watch baseball for the price of a few cans of food donated to Second Harvest.

 

Unfortunately that goes hand in hand with losing a lot.

 

I’m not even sure it will take losing a lot for it to lose the attention of most of the fans that have been filling LNS the last 5 years. Losing more than they are used to and not playing with that same “us against the world/[uck fay] everybody” mindset will probably do it for most of them.

 

Not bailing on the season yet but some guys need to grow up quickly.

 

Arkansas lost at home to TU-Arlington last night. I’m convinced they are going to have a down year, their coach is gonna retire, and they are gonna hire Vitello.

 

Terrible way to get the second out there.

 

Zero chance Tony leaves that quickly.
