Offensive lineman is one of the positions I think that doesn’t really matter about ranking. Basically it’s how do you measure and your the eye test.
Either way it’s looking like we will be lucky to finish in the top 25 in recruiting this year. Hopefully things pick up because you’re eventually going to hit a ceiling even with the best coaching.
A five-star receiver is almost certainly great (although occasionally you do find an undersized quick guy or a sport-switcher who can do a lot). Five-star OL are usually good but the award lists seem to be littered with fourth or fifth-year seniors who used to be 3*
Well that changed quickly https://www.rockytopinsider.com/2021/07/09/tennessee-makes-top-five-for-top-10-recruit-walter-nolen/
I have to think without Rodney Garner we wouldn't be in this position. This would be a huge get, literally.
That's big. Hard to avoid the "accidental" bump ins being that close. Sucks that we'll be on probation though.
They should hang a banner of that somewhere. Also, no 3 star has an offer from Bama without a shit load of contingencies attached to it.
Not concerned about any ratings from 2020, which more than likely were based on 2019, soph year and 15 years old. What I do know is we have 4.3 at rb, 4.3 at slot and 4.4 out wide for a couple years for a change
And you have to keep in mind that many of these ratings from 247 or Rivals are done based on observations from their own camps, which they weren’t able to hold for a year due to Covid. Often they’ll just throw 3 stars on a kid by default if they haven’t seen him in person but know he’s getting some good offers.
