A&M has been top 5-10 recruiting since Jimbo got there and prior to NIL. For all the consternation about NIL, forgotten is that Jimbo is a pretty damn good recruiter and was at Florida State, as well. His issue is coaching on Saturday. But, this Aggie success on the trail didn't miraculously come out of nowhere because oil money started greasing kids' hands.

NIL is going to change things, but developing kids for the NFL, where the real money lies, still matters.
