'23 Class

Looks like the Texas A&M mass exodus is beginning. An RB and an LB entered the portal. Also, Lovett, the leading WR for Missouri is there, too. We should be able to pick off some guys this offseason to plug a few holes.

Lovett would be a huge pickup to replace Hyatt.

Squirrel is Hyatt's replacement

 

Squirrel will be auto-completed with White on Google search before he leaves Tennessee. He's way ahead of the curve for WRs in this system.

 

I think Tennessee will go after two tight ends, a safety and a linebacker. They won't turn down a starting caliber olineman or wide receiver

 

Should never turn these away, imo.

 

I would hope they'd seek a decent corner or two, as well.

 

For this year and next year there are no limits on the number of signees you can take as long as you stay within the 85. We will be extremely active in the portal. It’s why we’ve been so selective with our last few HS spots.

Wonder who we will lose. Maybe Merrill. Callaway.

 

I think next year hinges on our portal success. On the field we did about as good as we possibly could have to attract some real quality players and maybe a star or two.

 

People will need to be patient next year. Hookers numbers are once in a lifetime type sick. We will have all new lbs in 2 deep. Need portal help. Need some badass juco or portal dbs as well and could be without Ced, Hyatt and Bru and both our TEs are gone. They’ve been blocking machines.

 

Callaway isn't going to see the field anytime soon, I don't blame him for leaving. Merrill can be really good here and actually plays, I think he stays

I don't think Tennessee loses many guys

 

Merrill wants PT. Imo depends on what that looks like. If he’s 4th or 5th he may look at other options.

 

Playing time should be there for Merrill if he's the best option.

 

Milton seems to find Merrill quite a bit. I imagine Walker will get a lot more looks next year.

 

They probably rep a lot together in practice.
