Might as well start this. Out - Chattanico. Good riddance. Good luck to his mom trying to get knocked up by Deion so she can do this again in 20 years. Potentially available - Sam Leavitt. On3 says he's leaving ASU. Some disputing that, but whatever. Probably a long-shot at best, but I am of the opinion we need a portal QB next year in the worst way.
If money is abundant and endless I’d be all for Leavitt but I imagine he’ll bring a pretty penny and we’ve got needs
I think Colorado might not be an option for Boo. One, he might not even be there next season and, two, Deion isn't necessarily one to take a lot of bullshit from kids who don't have his last name. Boo and his momma might have to settle their sights a bit lower.
I just want some regulations and reforms on the whole portal apparatus. I want kids to be able to leave bad situations, but just coming and going at will is chaos. That said, can we get a QB? Ill hang up and listen
Depends entirely on one thing. What does he think of GMac? If he’s not completely convinced that GMac is going to be really good next year it would be malpractice to not bring in a starting QB and just roll with two freshman QBs. That can go off the rails and cost him his job so fast. With all that said, you’re probably right. Won’t shock me at all if he just gets a one year depth guy and it costs him his job.
Oh I think he’s an idiot if he thinks any coach worth anything is gonna take his crap without coming in on double secret probation.
Need to find an under the radar qb who is a gamer like JA and see who wins the spot. For this offense to be its best, we have to have Qb called runs and keepers. Gmac can’t make the 27 yard td run JA had last week.
Heupel basically told the bation in code that he was trouble with his comment about him not being held out for injury
It's Florida week, and it's been 33 hours since the last post in the Florida Week thread... Meanwhile the Transfer Portal thread is at the top of the list. Probably says something about the state of the program.
It means we have 3 losses. Beat Florida and have some help such that the next game is a potential play-in game, and you will see more interest.
We are essentially eliminated from the playoffs, going to Gainesville to play a 3-7 football team and no one feels confident about the game because we’ve won there twice in 50 years, and the only thing we really have to look forward to this year is potentially knocking Vandy out of a playoff spot and a bowl game that have been made to be about as important as a spring game at this point. Nothing to be excited about.
I came of age in the 90s as a Vols fan. I will always want to beat the Gators and can get up for them in any sport.
Yeah, our main goals are off the table, but 9-3 with a win in Gainesville would be a good consolation prize. But by the same token, coming of age in the 90s as a Vols fan means there’s some inevitable dread surrounding this fixture.
