We got to watch music video channels on the 21" television in the department of the clothing store where I worked in college, football on the weekends. It was a wonderful tool for running folks out when they would stay past closing. Racially profile and crank up either CMT or BET assuming the latter was playing music. MTV worked sometimes when R&B music was unavailable. It would run folks out every time.
