Mychal Rivera has the best statistical season for a TE at Tennessee in at least the last 25 years, maybe all time. People seem to completely forget about him.
Dude was so wide open the whole game against UGA in 2010. Could have had 200 yards. Never hit him once.
This is a complete torn issue for me. From a ideology standpoint I hate it. I hate every one that does it. From a orange-colored glasses standpoint I want him to get it.
Same, there is a copy of the suit out there for anyone wanting to read. It basically says he needs a quick decision so he can be ready for spring practice or the Alternative. He made $2 million last year.
If everyone else is going to do it then it makes no sense for us to unilaterally disarm. If anything it’ll accelerate the timeline to collective bargaining, which is where it’s going to end up anyway.
I am torn on whether him coming back will be a good thing or not. I would assume he thinks he is the starter if he wins his case which I am not sure is a good thing.
I’d rather just move on. I don’t know for sure if him coming back means another win or two or not. It’s all about the defense. Plus who knows we may risk George leaving. Right now he’s the starting qb going into spring practice. And he’s just old. Don’t blame him though for trying.
He was playing at a very elite level early in the season. In fact, I’d say clearly superior to any non-Hooker QB we’ve had and not all that far off from Hendo. Another year with an actual offseason to prepare and no tumor in his throwing arm, yeah I’m down for seeing that.
He was great, I think part of the problem was he had to be great because our defense was Ass personified.
Apparently they have NIL money and a scholly set aside for him. So he will be back if he wins his case. It’d be nice to have 4 QBs on the roster. Either George or Faizon will be gone after this season anyway. Plus, I seem to remember a few people on here questioning George’s ability when he was in high school.
