I’m pretty sure Ssmiff saw him play a bunch in high school and talked about how unimpressive he looked.
Aguilar starting at QB next year is definitely our best chance for a successful season and it’s not really close. Trying to break in George next year with our schedule is a recipe for disaster.
He was on what some say are two of the worst BA teams ever.his coach was awful and fired. His OL wasn’t good for sure either. I’m good with seeing what he’s got in yr 2 under Heupel, but I still prefer a qb who is a threat to run on 3rd and 6. George rarely ran in HS except backpeddling from defenders. I don’t think our offense can see its full potential without a willing runner.
Simon saying his kid would have never played for Banks is telling. We paid that moron for far too long.
I told yall about my friends with safety recruits from ‘25 and ‘26. There was zero consideration to play for Banks.
Aguilar coming back doesn’t bother me nearly as badly as Bediako going pro and then coming back. Even if I don’t agree with it, I can see the justification in why juco years shouldn’t count towards ncaa eligibility since they aren’t the same organization.
Yep. The argument is that you only get 4 years to make the biggest paycheck of your life. Once you turn your back on that (Bediako), well, that's a different case altogether than being limited on the front end because schools didn't recognize your talent when you came out of high school. Still, if this goes through, a player with high hopes would be crazy to go to MTSU, WKU, etc. over juco, since afaik those schools aren't paying very much. In fact, this would kinda set a precedent for like a gap year (or three) to play juco/train so that when you start your clock you are near your max. I don't love that.
