I have immediate family and friends in these techy fields. it is as specialized as you could possibly imagine. there are specially certified types of firefighters for server farms, man. there will be jobs filled locally, but there was no version of reality where they wouldn't have been the case because of the level of the job, just as there is no version of reality that they are going to be pulling unemployed engineers, programmers, or executives off the street in Arlington County. C'mon.
