just looks like we never try and disrupt. Ga, bama, Clemson..they dictate and try to bust stuff up in the backfield. Seems like our strategy was to sit back, hopefully hold them to 3rd and short and make a stop. DT's taking themselves out of plays leaving gaping holes and our lbs still 5 yards off the ball.
Looks like no Austin Thomas now. He has been rumored to be hired starting Monday. Rucker is reporting we just hired Troy director of football operations Todd Watson. That would have been Thomas’ title I think.
I’m ptobably wrong. I just looked at story and assumed it meant the job Watson is being hired for is the same one we wanted Thomas for.
Tennessee is finally serious about football again. i couldn't be more impressed with the first few days
I'm not sure we are any more serious than when we hired Butch Jones. But blind squirrel...(hopefully).
Yes. But that is on Pruitt. I don't think we increased our commitment to winning institutionally. At any rate, I agree that we finally have a chance again.
having a football guy like Fulmer as AD gives you a guy that knows what it takes to win. He’s going to give Pruitt everything he can to help him succeed
The athletic director is the one getting the funds to hire the support staff. You go from 5 positions to 10, the school has committed more funds to football
I think he’s talking about associates staff - like consultants and interns - that don’t count against the 9 man, or soon 10 man, limit. We haven’t seen numbers on that salary pool as far as I know.
