I don't know about that. There are important questions that have to be answered, mainly surrounding who in the AD knew what and when did they know it. It's possible (I wouldn't bet on it) that Jay Jacobs is honestly innocent of major wrongdoing. But with the coach already gone and an embattled puppet AD who is easily replaceable, there's not a lot of incentive to fight anything.
It's certainly part on him but anybody who pumped him up did so thinking this would be a different offense. It's not. Shit, Gus is still calling plays.
