Hey NYY, question for you if'n you don't mind. I know you said Pittman chatter was quiet due to game prep. Would you see Pruitt waiting until he and/or Chaney were clear of their coaching obligations to make some sort of offer there? I'd love to see a Chaney/Pittman combo back in Orange, but I just don't see it as very likely.
And full disclosure... I'm not certain the interest that Pruitt has in Chaney. I do know that Chaney has told multiple people how much he loved his time in Knoxville. Multiple times.
My family who I have been staying with over the Thanksgiving holiday are ridiculous UGA homers. They insist that Pittman has said he intends to retire in Athens. I have to say, I would love to rub their noses in it if we were able to poach either Chaney or Pittman.
Pittman also has grown tired of Kirby... and he's much, much closer to Chaney than he is Kirby or any ties to Athens. That and he also enjoyed his time in Knoxville.
I have heard this as well. I can't bring it to my family though, because they only listen to hearsay and speculation that supports the Dawgs. Love them to death and God bless them, but they are the worst UGA homers ever.
Unless you were at Kingston HS on a bizarre night of first rd playoff football, you never saw Eric Westmoreland lose a hs game.
So, how do these interviews go? Imagine a bit of chit chat and then Pruitt starts dialing up defense plays asking what the coordinator would call against it? Philosophy on approach to coaching? Just wondering.
