Based on feel, I'd say someone needs to see 2 PAs in the inning and go with 10.

    Wrong!

Around means back to the top. You can't argue with Vin Scully and David Wright. First batter has to appear again.

    10. Batting around means the guy who batted first bats again.

I thought it was 10 and had no idea it was in question.

I didn't know it was a question either. NYYVol was asking about batting around for the other team but I thought that meant something else.

I think in that instance, nine would suffice.

It is 10 and it isn't in question. Some people are just dumb.

I would think nyy could handle the roster of 24.

If every player in the lineup bats in an inning, you've batted around.

I have never heard it described that way. Ever.

When a guy bats twice in an inning - that's batting around

One does not complete the trace of a circle until the line reaches where it began. 10.

You're to the batter before his ab. Like clock striking midnight or last bite of the donut, the circle is complete. 9

Not until the first batter is to the plate. 10.

agreed. If a baserunner gets caught stealing for the third out during the 9th man's at bat, they didn't bat around. If he grounds out, they did.

You cannot go around something until you get back to where you started which is the first batter in the batter's box.

Who thought it was a good idea to change it or even debate this? It has always been ten batters since forever.
