Is there anything in South Boston or should I just head from the Convention Center to the financial district?
There are some restaurants on the water front in South Boston (No Name Restaurant on Boston Fish Lier, Legal Harborside, Legal Test Kitchen, Jerry Remy's Seaport, Tge Barking Crab, Aura for nicer meal). Art studios in Fort Point I believe. And the Inst for Contemporary Art if you care. Harpoon Brewery is down there with tours and decent tasting menu. That'd be decent to plan in. You can take the Silver Line (SL2) to Northern Ave @ Harbor St to get there. You could also walk though it gets a little unpopulated. Cab would be cheap. It's not in South Boston but rather the South End, but Gaslight is terrific food.
