Just metaphorically crying I suppose. I did write someone I know that is semi-close to Warren a letter about her energy policy and asked her (person I know) to give it some thought. But beyond that I’ve got nothing.
As I said above, only thing I’m doing is metaphorically crying. And bullshitting I guess. If I had a good idea of how to move the country further away from sound bite news and politics as sport, I’d probably be happy spending my time on it. Except for the being hated by the masses part. Would not enjoy that.
How so? I recognize that people are going to vote for the person that has the highest chance to win, that has says things they mostly agree with. Doesn't matter if they'd make a good President or not. I, however, understand, that I would make an absolute shit President. So if I'd make an absolute shit President, then it stands to reason that the things I agree with are probably shit. So why would I vote for someone like that? I wouldn't. And thus. But everyone else does. So I'm perfectly fine with never having a mainstream candidate that I agree with, I'll just keep voting for the person I think would make the best President. Win, lose, no shot, or otherwise.
If only you were smart enough to figure another way, or failing that, to just realize that stupid people will fill any vacuum left by the absence of competent intelligence.
Between 2016 and 2020, we've had, what, 30 or so real bids for the presidency? None of them are inspiring. At all. We are in an incredible dearth of statesmen in our history. It's as bad as the 1850s. Perhaps, though, our Lincoln is around the corner.
Politics are such a shit show right now. Hard for me to see why any decent person would put up with the shit required to feed a 24 hour news cycle.
