This little fellow attends my church. He's Grayer and he's been battling leukemia for the past 3 years or so. Looks like someone organized a trip for the childhood cancer patients to go see the Vols. I don't know who these players - or staff or whatever - are, but I respect what they are doing here. The little guy took his last chemo a few weeks ago and is doing pretty good.
Jason Croom up top, Curt Maggitt on crutches, Brett Kendrick and I don't know who the bottom guy is. You can see their jersey numbers on the sleeves of their jackets.
Great stuff! I love hearing about people beating cancer, most especially kids. I also like that he looks as if he wants to punch Croom in the chops. I suspect he was just waiting on Jennings to give the signal.
Good thing Croom didn't drop him...... This little guy is small for his age. I guess 3 - 4 years of chemo, being poked and gouged, having tubes stuck in him all over and just the overall pain and suffering, etc. can do that to a person. But he's a fighter and he may begin to get bigger.
And I thought it was really nice that these players took the time to visit with these kids. They will probably remember that day for a while.
