So, I am on my way to the bathroom after a "couple" brews at a local establishment near UCF and table full of guys stop by to ask me a question about Tennessee vs Georgia game. Turns out the guys work for CBS and were in town for the UCF game tonight. They asked me my opinion or I shared it freely, can't remember, regarding Dooley. I told them I thought he was in over his head at Tennessee / SEC. Just a matter of time. They then laughed and told me the joke around the CBS sports office is Dooley will be sitting on one of their panels next season. At that point my bladder reminded me why I got up in the first place and wished the guys a good evening.
Given both his experience and penchant for outlandish comments and analogies, Dooley would make for an excellent on-location announcer, IMO. Didn't Corso take a similar route from being a (failed) college coach to the booth? They share many of the same traits.
