I really think this is brilliant trolling by ESPN. By doing this obviously stupid thing, it makes their previous stupid thing also look stupid.

Of course they had to risk annoying stupid people; but that's trolling.

 

They annoyed Clay Travis, so I guess it worked.

 

Trolling? Maybe. I'm not so sure it isn't marketing and promotion. Everyone now knows about this game instead of the fives of people who were aware of it before.

Everyone knows the commentator Robert lee now too. And ESPN can't be called insensitive for the draft auction if they now look to be insanely oversensitive.

I guess when I watch the news and people say they are offended by the statues, I'm misunderstanding them.

The point is, tearing down a statue makes everything go away? If I never have to hear another millionaire football player complaining about being a slave, I guess, yeah, tear them all down.
