Class of 2017!

I got bored and decided to peruse the initial rankings for 2017 class. The state of Tennessee has 9 top 250 players. Along with legacies and a few players in close proximity to Knoxville, Butch has a good shot at landing a handful of 5 stars and top 250 talent. If we get past the lawsuit stuff and perform well on the field this could be the best class Butch has ever had.

 

I agree, the state is loaded and Deangelo Gibbs is a top 40 player that's all buy committed

 

He's top 10.

 

Huge recruiting year. Definitely could be a monster class.

 

All in all, this is the make or break year for Butch. He'll either establish himself as a force in the SEC or begin desiccating rapidly.

 

Too bad we won't know about anything until it happens without Tmac around.

Three more losses clearly littered with national punchline type coaching and a schedule full of garbage wins sounds like a recipe for a great year.

 

10-2, minimum.

 

discount the shoddiness of our coaching at your peril. On paper, we should win them all. On the sidelines, we should probably lose them all.

 

Everyone says we are in good hands now defensively. Not disagreeing with you, but I don't think we have to worry about anymore 4th and 14's.

 

While I don't think the coaching is bad as you do, I don't necessarily think we will go 10-2.

 

who, that matters, will we play with a worse coaching staff than our own? Maybe Vandy?

 

That's why most games will resemble SoCar and Mizz from last season.

 

I definitely want to say South Carolina, although I can't shake that head-to-head record

 

Mizzou's staff doesn't look good either.
