I think Clemsoning implies doing all of this to an inferior opponent.

 

Agreed. It's a little misleading when applied to Saturday's game. But i'm for it anyway.

 

The article quotes urban dictionary's definition:

“The act of delivering an inexplicably disappointing performance, usually within the context of a college football season.”

 

4th and less than a foot in overtime and you hand the ball off 5 yards deep in the back field in shotgun formation. That is clemsoning.

 

And?

 

Some added nuance here:

 

Nothing about inferior opponent.
