    My take on his show:

Fulmer and Blackburn were never going to get the job.

    They were done dirty.

They were allowed to be the public face of the search while the powers that be were keeping the other candidates close to the vest.

Fulmer and Blackburn took all the arrows while the other candidates never got any public scrutiny.

Fulmers interview was a sham as they had already settled on Currie and the interview was just for public consumption.

Anderson wasnt involved in the final rounds of meetings as he was a Fulmer supporter and excluded for that reason.

The UNC guy was the first up but when he balked they went with Currie.

Blackburn didnt even get an interview with the committee and the ADs criterion were more than likely created to exclude the two popular candidates.

OZ and his little boy ran this show and they apparently co-oped Manning into being involved in this sham public part of the search. Its speculated that Manning never knew the role Currie played in Fulmers firing or he wouldnt have supported his hire.

Mathews goes on record about Currie. To paraphrase: Currie was basically a loudmouthed punk who did some unprofessional things while here in his first stint. This is stuff Mathews witnessed personally. Its unlikely Currie knew Mathews and Fulmer were friends when he did these things.

Mathews hopes Currie has grown since he has been gone but other things I have heard about KSU seem to imply that he is still an immature and polarizing figure.

So the fake public search was done to deceive the fanbase and keep them from seeing the real story.

What they didnt count on was Mathews' connections as he interviewed dozens of people involved and at least one search committee member.

    Listen and decide for yourself:

One thing that can be said is that most of the guys that usually toe the company line are blasting this hire. That actually might be a good thing.

Yep. That sounds like the UT I know, a complete shit-show.

    Also from the show:
Davenports requirements would have prevented her from being considered for the Chancellor job.
3 greatest UT presidents wouldn't have been qualified under current requirements.
UNC guy got pissed that his candidacy was leaked and thats why he didn't come.
After UNC backed out ( Big Jim) BJ Haslam called on Saturday Currie and worked out the deal. The fake Fulmer interview was conducted on Sunday. Then they sent Davenport to ink the deal with Currie.
BJ Haslam rushed it through so as to prevent any public vetting of Currie.
Currie was the point man in Fulmers firing but part of his sales pitch to boosters was to tell them that they had John Gruden coming. Instead we got Kiffrat.
    UT eats their own.
