Why would they not? Those guys are safer on an otherwise empty campus than they are spending the summer on their own.
Didn't want to start a thread so I'll ask it here, am I the only one that wants to see checkered Neyland again? Granted I know who it was utilized under but damn it was a glorious sight! Hell everytime I log on here I'm reminded of it. And considering what might be on the horizon (some badass Tennessee teams), could you imagine the atmosphere it would be for recruiting? I realize Neyland will be rocking if we're winning anyways but a checkered Neyland would just be over the top. JMO of course.
I want vintage Neyland. Everyone in orange, so loud you can't talk to the person beside you, and a legit top 10 team beating the shit out of people on the field.
I don't think it will be necessary to get the crowd into it and I'd prefer anything that originated during the bjiapos/ddiapos years to go away.
I had a dream that fans were allowed but had to sit staggered throughout stadiums and vandy only had 14 people at their first game
I get the impulse, but Checker Neyland was (1) great, and (2) a fan-driven idea that was adopted by the administration, not a bjiapos idea The Smokey grays, on the other hand, just make me sad when I see them in so many of our best highlights from the last few years
