Hmm...the other two planes flying the mission both had two people. I thought that all four planes in the final mission were the same?

Same airframe. Different number of seats.

    Fixed and accurate.
But why did they have them flying alone? Why would they put them in a single seat instead of a two seat like everyone else in this movie and the original?

In the original, the instructors flew alone in the opfor aircraft. I haven't seen the new one, so I am not sure why they had them in pairs at top gun in F/A 18's. I bet they typically don't as you don't go to Top Gun unless you are already a highly skilled pilot.

In the first one, there are 2 crew members for an F-14 so it is totally unrelated to whatever is going on in the sequel.

The F (super hornet, aka: rhino) is also two seater, but isn't a trainer. The E (Super hornet, aka: rhino) is a single seater.

Ah, so perhaps the pairs were in an F.

Watched Top Gun for first time in ages. Forgot how perfect of a 80s movie it really is.

Also, my daughter asked us what a dickhead was.

If Everything Everywhere all at once doesn't win best picture, then the awards just don't mean anything

No Time to Die, 4/10. I’m a huge Fukanaga fan, but this was a major letdown.

Sounding more and more like Phase 5 is Secret Wars.

Well, the Cosmic Cube was destroyed, and should have created the Beyonder.

Edit: after reading some, it appears my knowledge of the Beyonder might be a bit out of whack.

There's two versions of secret wars, I'm betting it's the newest which kind of crashes the multiverse

Yeah, I'm not a full student of Marvel, but that seems to be the direction they are heading. I still think somehow/someway Kang is gonna be the big bad of it though.

Kang is an interesting character, they can do a lot with him

Love and Thunder is going to be one of those you either like or hate, and I liked it.
