First impression, they're trying to throw as much likeable crap as possible into this movie to make up for 8.

 

They need to

 

Kylo Ren welding his helmet back together is Abrams way of giving Episode VIII the middle finger?

 

Didnt hate 8. Don’t care

 

Abrams can bring it back.

 

I thought 8 was OK. I enjoyed it. I just think the lack of a central story teller (a la Lucas in the originals) caused the different directors to go 180 from each other.

 

8 as a standalone was fine. 8 as part of this story was awful.

 

Just seemed very very very out of place in line with the others. I dunno, just didn't have a flow to it.

 

I liked 8. Hated 7/

7 was just awful. 8 was pretty cinematically but the plot was garbage.

 

It was bad

 

The fight scene was the best of all the movies IMO. I liked old crotchety Luke. Rey nearly kicking Luke's ass was awesome. The scene between Kylo and Luke was good. Other that Leia's floating through space, the battle scene was good.

But the Rey's parents thing was ruined (still bet there is more to that in 9 though), Snoke was sad, Finn's trip was awful and still served no point. Heck, they ruined the quasi love story between Rey and Finn. Cool stuff with a terrible overall storyline.

 

My favorite part of VIII was actually at the very end, when the slave boy goes out to sweep and force pulls the broom to him. It shows that there will never be a Last Jedi as the Force will always be present in people.

 

Yeah, but there’s only one Skywalker family. #Elitism

 

The books took it in a better direction post-ROTJ no doubt

 

Rey is actually Palpatine.

 

Hopefully they don’t start IX with a yo momma joke.

 

Lando is actually Jar Jar.

 

Well rise of Skywalker raises a lot of questions about Luke, Kylo, or perhaps the heritage of Rey?
