Pickem and bookie are two different things. I'll look into the bookie thing in a bit. I'll post here when I think it is up and running.
I think I updated most of the links for the bookie. You should be able to see it from the main compete! dashboard, but you might have to refresh. Go ahead and test it, and let me know if there are any problems. Only let me know if it doesn't 100% work. If it does work, but you don't like the outcome, just know I'm working on it.
I'll probably give the option to break the leaderboard down by mode, but also list net gain. So at the end of the season, there would be three highest earners. If possible, though, I might broaden the bookie system to include NFL and College Hoops, and anything else anyone wants. But that will come after the initial system gets up and running.
Yesterday, I'm talking in front of my 3 year old, and I use the word "perhaps." He asks me what perhaps means. I think for a second and tell him it means something like "but." He looks at me and says, "Daddy, you need to use a better word." It took me a second to catch up to him, but after I did, I laughed.
Nice story. Those of us who are fathers, I think it is safe to say we've all experienced a similar moment.
