I did. Very much. First two games still sting and if we don’t make a bowl game they will burn. Not sorry.
This team won't lose another football game this year. They may not be the best team on the field or play the best game, but they aren't losing anymore.
It's been fun watching the team and the staff grow up. This is the kind of momentum that keeps rolling into the following year
The defensive line is nearly all Pruitt and he did it in one and a half recruiting classes. They're kicking ass right now
if I were a recruit, I’d probably go somewhere else. Imagine spending the next 4 years in Knoxville and every time you’re getting laid having to hear your girl yelling “yes, Jauan, yes, oh, God, er Jauan, same thing, yes!!!”
I’m probably wrong and maybe just judging too fast, but this really does seem like a different team than what we have been used to. Mentally tough, physical. I think we have turned the corner, if we can find an answer at QB we may have this thing figured out.
I’ll believe they win in Columbia when I see it—I don’t think I’ve ever seen us play a good game there. Even the year that we were 10 times better we only scored 19 points.
The progression of the defensive line has been absolutely incredible. The secondary still needs work, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that cost us a game this season, but the strides the DL has made has me genuinely excited.
Just think, the entire unit is back next year plus Gooden coming back. Taylor is obviously a big loss but Bennett is coming along nicely as an edge guy.
Bennett is starting to play himself into a draft pick down the road. Hes got a nice spin move developing.
