Early thoughts on South Carolina

They have been on a rollercoaster.
Blow the first game against UNC late.
QB breaks his foot in the locker room after the game.
FR backup steps in and looks like an improvementplays well against Bama.
They get handled at Mizzou.
QB gets dinged up in a win on the road at UGA.
Played pretty well against UF only to falter late.

Their defense has played pretty well recently outside the 38 against UF.
Offense has been up and down. Hilinski has some talent and Feaster has provided them with some punch at RB.

Both teams are coming into the game on a more similar footing with the schedule. Last year we re coming off Bama, they re coming off a bye. This year we re coming off State and Bama, they re coming off UGA and UF.

This game feels like State version 2 from the idea of importance. UT played well last nite and in spite of QB play for most of the game. Most of that was due to the LOS. At times we were just better than Bama. That will need to be the case again Saturday.

I have no idea on this game. Mainly because of UTs QB situation. Last year should have been a win. We re due one against them.

 

USC will win by 10+ points, no matter who we play at QB (I bet it’s Shrout).

Because they’re a better and more well-proven team.

 

Actually I think we’re playing Tech

 

Maybe we go KY on them and just play Jennings at QB. Big enough to wildcat and can possibly still throw. Just go physical and angry on them. That’s what I would do. Seems like maybe we set that up at Bama.

I cant see how we win unless Maurer is 100% healthy and behind center.

Jennings playing QB would be the next best chance we have.

I think USCe is significantly better than MSU right now.

It's winnable. A lot depends on who lines up at QB.

I cant find a path to victory with JG under center. That being said, I believe Pruitt is 100% out on JG.

 

If Maurer is out then we start with Shrout and if he can't get shit going we go wildcat with JJ and Ty.

 

I think Pruitt has an advantage here as USCjr is pretty one dimensional. I trust he will have a good game plan in place and have them in position to make plays.

This is a huge game. If we can find a W, I think we can sneak into a bowl game.

I don't expect Hilinski or however you spell it to finish the game

 

The first third and long he'll be hammered and he's got one leg

 

I expect Jennings to do a lot of wildcat

 

I just think if this team has any fire left, they win. they just hung with bama. if that is who they are, they will scrap this out.

 

Would love to see JJ behind center vs JG. Good thing this is at home.
