Like a lot of new hip hop it is EDM based, which is kool and the gang. I dig it.

 

Hadn't heard this song until the Beats by Dre headphones colors commercial recently, but I enjoy it. Believe it fits here.

I don't have xm, and 'chill electronic' isn't the name of a sub-genre, but it does convey some meaning, so let's see. You're probably thinking of downtempo.* Perhaps something along these lines?


*Techno genres confuse me too. I don't get snobbish about them, believe me.

Pretty Lights was the first band that came to mind, and allmusic does classify them as downtempo.

Massive Attack is actually "Trip Hop" and not downtempo/chillout/ambient electronic*, but I wonder if it's a second cousin or something.

This band is from DC and they own a nightclub where they (obviously) play their music in the background. I actually like Thievery quite a bit.

The title suggests this is what you're thinking of. If you pull this one up on youtube, several of the clips that show up on the right will be by groups that do mostly chill out downtempo stuff. Might be a good starting place. To be clear, Daft Punk doesn't specialize in chillout stuff, they're just Daft Punk and they're badasses and so they can do whatever they damn well please.

Monstercat Media is a small Canadian group that has an awesome assortment of EDM artist. You should definitely check them out.

 

Doesn't count, but including it. Epic music is a genre into itself, but with Daft Punk on Trone Legacy, and the Inception score, one that mixes the tone of both is worth 2 minutes.
