Butch wants to utilize his speed

 

Optimism - Good idea, using our assets effectively.

Pessimism - We're running out of ideas on offense.

Double Pessimism - Hurd is out longer than we thought and the other RBs can't cut it.

 

Lack of speed hasn't been the issue in the running game.

 

Or, Hurd is going to be fine, but our other backs are garbage. I feel for Lane, as he is limited with a leg injury, but never has been that good anyway. I feel bad for all the #DDIAPOS players that had to play under that ********.

 

Lane has great vision and does a good job with his cutting. He's not great but he's far from garbage

 

I was a little harsh, but Lane has been injured and has not played well this year.

 

By god, at least they are trying something, anything. At least they are reacting and not pretending like there is no issue.

That is what infuriates me the most.

 

Seems that they're still going at the issue that personnel is the issue and not scheme.

 

I don't expect them to scrap the playbook mid-season, though. That would be an even bigger disaster.

But at least they're DOING something. Hopefully they are emphasizing fundamentals for the O-line this week too. That would help a lot.

 

I remember watching his state title game, and I never saw him play a down at RB. He played mostly WR his senior year.
