I don't care one way or the other about religion. I'm on a crusade against stupidity. Using the "discovery" of Bethlehem as proof the Bible is truth is akin to using the Atlantic Ocean as evidence Aquaman is real.
Don't think that many are making a logical leap from that. I think I do recall that there is a plant in Egypt known to erupt into flames during dry spells. Haven't seen studies on the flames talking yet, but I'll look into it.
Many types of dry bushes can combust under the right conditions. Some right here in the US. Those signs in mulch beds in the South are no joke either. I saw a small tree surrounded by mulch spontaneously erupt into flames myself on UT campus in August. It is a known thing and completely explainable. Now, I have never heard one talk...
