The staff and team have as high or higher expectations than the fans, and he wants it to always be that way. And he doesn't want there to ever be low expectations.
He was a pretty big smart ass as a player. Was hoping that would carrier over into coaching. Glad it appears it has.
I’d say anyone who spends their entire lifetime immersed in highly competitive sports is capable of a dishing out a little trash talk when needed. Still hard for me to believe that just a hair over 30 years ago he was an actual D1 national championship QB.
I’d recheck that math. He’s only 2 years older than me and neither of us were in college 30 years ago. I don’t think. It has been a long time .
Typo. Meant to say 20 years ago there. I was just a very young kid then but can actually remember talking about that game with the boys at the elementary lunch table when they unexpectedly beat FSU only because Florida State’s QB having a last name called “Weinke” seemed like the funniest shit ever to our 7/8 year old minds.
You really would never believe it by just looking at him now 20 years later though. No disrespect to JH, but dude looks like someone’s dad who would be volunteering to man the grill at the HS baseball concession stand. Surely 45 can’t be that different from early 20s
