I will say this about UGA though: Their entire offense is brand new outside 2 OL and a WR. New qb New system New RBs New TE Add in covid and they will definitely have growing pains on offense. Their defense is going to be nasty per usual which will keep them in every game.
6-4 if we don't lose major contributors to covid. 7-3 if the QB gets covid. I wish I was more optimistic but all the missed practice time got me spooked.
6-4 against a schedule where five opponents are top 15 >>> 7-5 against a schedule where eight opponents are unranked I mean if A&M or Auburn death spirals and ends up being totally mediocre, then maybe not, but based on what we expect to see from our opponents, 6-4 is definitely a step forward.
Smaller sample size, less representative result. We had 5 losses though, so only 4 losses would surely be an improvement since there are no GSU's on the schedule.
I disagree. Every opponent being a conference rival means each game is part of a long historical series, and each has meaning. Some of them have a LOT of meaning. In some ways, this is a throwback to the early 20th century in terms of the closer geographic footprint of the schedule and deeper running series.
So no loss of eligibility for seniors this year? That is big time for us with such a senior heavy DL.
how is this going to be managed from a scholarship number and limited number of players on the sideline/roster? Then you add the jrs who were slated to start as seniors after all these years, waiting their turn. I don't know what to think about all of it. Fair to seniors this year but then affects decisions of others who got screwed during the pandemic as well.
You have to wonder if some of those guys won’t want to move on, too, whether it’s nfl or whatever life brings
I’m sure many will move on for whatever reasons. Things can obviously change but Middleton already announced he’ll return. We also really don’t have a lot of juniors on the depth chart.
