No love for Painter? Gotta recognize what he is doing with that roster.

His early 90's Science Hill teams were absolutely unreal. Jovann Johnson was as good of a high school player as I've ever seen. Throw in Nathaniel Bailey, Brad Fields, Gabe Goulds, and a 7'0 center, and they were a sight to behold.

He is so good that to be the HC at Science Hill you have to run his press. I have a DVD cut up of his SC team from back in the day and they were for real. He's done an excellent job at King.

Don't forget Damon Johnson and Shane Williams, Rob Love, and Demetric Stevens. Jovann was amazing, no doubt. Roundball in the Hall were great times, and I hate Science Hill otherwise.

*Except for the time he tried to run Jimmy Chitwood as a decoy. Worst. Idea. Ever.

Science Hill consistently beat teams in the 90s with countless D1 players, and not a single one of the Science Hill guys were blue chippers. Great players, no doubt, but not 5 stars. That says a ton about Pitts and also about how good the street games in town at Carver and Kiwanis were in those days.

Would have been a great baseball player had he went that route.

Solid list. I would add Mike Rice as well. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and he is a great guy.

I like watching Rick Pitino's teams about as well as any. Love his version of the 2-3. So, I'll guess I'll say Pitino.
