Played against Zach in a pick-up game one night on the outdoor courts next to the bubble. He was not good.
He was my coach one summer at Knoxville Christian Basketball Camp. I actually saw him after the game and mentioned that to him. He obviously didn’t remember me personally but definitely remembered camp and some of the other guys who ran it and whatnot.
He's not the best player who has ever played here, but he might be smartest and most successful off the court.
The totally unnecessary yet completely appropriate dunk at the end of the Auburn game in 1999 is a favorite of mine
Not in any order or stats. Just enjoyed seeing live action, TV watching and/or listening on radio. They are names that came to mind as I sit here thinking. Ernie/Bernie Williams/Schofield Allan Houston Chris Lofton Dale Ellis Tony White Ron Widby (probably cause he punted, too) Ron Slay Bill Justus Boerwinkle Vescovi Zeigler Fulkerson Some because of talent, some because of development, some because they just play/try so hard despite their shortcoming.
Anyone with a list without Wayne Chism and Chris Lofton simply weren't alive/conscious during those years. Jordan Bone is probably my favorite player of the Barnes era. Loved how he developed into a dynamic PG.
Grant has gotta be on everyone’s list, too. The Gator chomp in Gainesville alone should put him on any list.
