Can someone wake me up when this a-hole is escorted out of the building, please? Until then, eff it, I'm out.
Uf 2014 was when it became evident he sucked as a coach for me. I didn't want to believe at the time, because recruiting was going so well. Then like you said, after the OU loss in 15, that sealed it completely for me.
Problem with Butch is he has so many of these type of defining moments. We should make him a scrap book for his going away party.
Tyler Wyatt (no clue who he is but is doing a show on the same station as Tony, I believe) on Tony Basilio's blog today with some pretty damning statistics.
sad but true. the university just didn;t have its you know what together. Even if they did, who knows . . . . but the loss to Vandy would have been it at most other slow-to-chnage mid-level power 5 schools.
I can't say I "knew" he was terrible in the Florida game in 13. But I knew something was not right with him when he went with Peterman for his first start in that game and then left him in for the whole half. But definitely after the 2014 Florida game I knew he was crap.
There really is so many instances of going above and beyond to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I think he gets extremely flustered in high pressure situations and can't make simple decisions at that point.
Peterman was more mobile and a lot of us thought he might do OK given that we had zero run game with Worley's no option. That being said, he's the coach and sees these guys every day. He should have known it would be a disaster. At the very least, he should have identified that it was a disaster early in the game. Had to wait until Peterman benched himself with the injury.
Absolutely. I think it was Clay Travis, but I forget. The problem wasn't the chart in the UF game of 2014. He was so damn nervous he called a no risk play to Jalen Hurd to set up the field goal on our final drive. Hurd killed like three Gators and miraculously got into the endzone. Butch was so surprised he didn't even look at the chart to decide 1 or 2. He was planning on getting three, but ended up with six! Woooo! Might as well make it lucky 7!
At this moment Butch Jones is likely in his office working on excuses for UMass. Derek Mason just said, "We'll have something for Alabama."
My fireworks show should be visible and audible throughout the entire Southeast as soon as he is actually fired.
