It's definitely a B hire considering that I was expecting a GA from Valdosta State at 4 mil per year after Sunday. The salary bumps it down, though.

Standing on its own, Gundy at 8.4 is only better than Schiano because he has no Sandusky history. Other than that, it's a disaster.

i disagree. schiano had one double digit win season in a terrible conference at a place that is at best the 4th choice for recruits in that area after texas, A&M, and oklahoma. the big 12 is down, but gundy has won double digit games consistently. he's a much better hire than schiano.
