Got skunked on Kentucky Lake today, my 3 year old went with me. It was his first time in a boat.

 

Sounds like a great day to me.

 

It was

 

Getting skunked sucks, but being on the boat, and with your son is the best.

 

Went for pike today, sucks heaving 3 ounce kastmasters in the heat all day and getting skunked. I caught a bluegill with a streamer with my fly rod at the boat launch so I could go home saying I had "some luck" and not lie.

 

Bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.

 

It's about that time again. Visited the new Cabelas store in Bristol, Virginia for the first time today. I'm going to need to put a limit on my visits there. Check out one of the items I purchased. They mistakenly had 40% off on it. They honored it anyway. I love me some Cabelas. Kicks Bass Pro's ass, imo.

Pro Bass is Walmart.
Cabelas is Target.

But Uncle Johnny was in talks for a while about buying out Cabelas. Not sure if it went anywhere.

 

I like it, been looking at a stainless cleaning station for a while, but out of my price range. 40% off that one would make it hard to pass up.

 

So. . . Fly or bait?

I actually prefer Walmart over Target though.
