If Kelly was struggling a la Spurrier with the Redskins I would buy it. But he's 9-3, leading the division, and his offense is starting to hit on all cylinders. I just don't buy it at all.
Nope. Plus, he's making $6.5M. I mean, Florida would have to pay him much more than Saban to get him there. Other than it makes for a good "wow" story, I just don't see it.
I really don't think McElwain will leave. He really seems to like where he's st and the school is upgrading everything for him.
you certainly wonder why he'd sign a contract with such a ridiculous buyout if he had any intention of taking another job.
Maybe to virtually guarantee his next job? I don't know. Maybe he figured if someone was willing to buy him out of his current gig, they'd be too poor to fire him for a while.
I don't know about McElwain. He's plenty good enough to beat the brakes off of us for the coming years, but man. Does this hire really scare you if you're Georgia or South Carolina or Mizzou for that matter? I guess it depends on who they hire for coordinators, but last I heard Durkin was staying on, and without Muschamp preaching a physical nature on both sides of the ball, do they stay as imposing on defense as they have been?
