Given the current administration at UT I'd say this is correct.

 

As of this moment I agree with them. This upcoming season isn't overly difficult and relatively similar to last years from a SOS perspective. IMHO, the only way he doesn't return is if he royally shit's the bed and since we want a change at the HC position he'll do just enough to stay.

 

He'll royally shit the bed, again, for the 3rd consecutive year, of that I have no doubt

 

He's going to get fired boys. The attendance and season ticket sales will force the administrations hand.

7-5 is where I stand on this, and he will be fired after next year. I predicted 9-3 for last season, so he may go 6-6 or 5-7 based on past experience.

 

In our eyes, yes. You and I (and most on here) have the same definition of shitting the bed. What bothers me is I don't think the majority of the fan base (or administration) share that view. I think the majority see 9-4 as a successful season and are/would be happy with similar results.

 

Unless we're a dumpster fire I don't think attendance falls off enough.

 

I'm learning more & more that we aren't alone here.

I am dropping my Season Tickets. I don't think it will take much for many others to decide they have better things to do on Saturday. I noticed a lot of people say they have stopped buying UT Gear. Does that have any effect on the bottom line (i.e., royalties)?

 

While I really will miss seeing folks like you at the games, I can't in good conscience spend a single dime on UT tickets, UT gear, watered down Cokes, overpriced hot dogs/pizza/popcorn/etc in Neyland. They will not get a dime more from me, on ANYTHING, until there is a real commitment to putting an acceptable product on the field that at least reflects current prices. I refuse to pay for filet mignon only to be served 20 year-old tough as whitleather horse meat ever again.

 

I have stopped buying UT gear. I know companies have to pay hefty licensing fees to the NCAA/School but not sure about % of sales.
